Services & how mobile detailing works

What services do you offer?

Zaukus Mobile Detailing offers Interior Detail, Exterior Wash & Protection, and Full Detail, with starting prices shown when you book through our Fieldd platform, along with Paint Correction, Ceramic Coating, and Touch-Up Paint, each handled by consultation and custom quote. Maintenance subscription options are planned for approved recurring customers.

  • Interior Detail
  • Exterior Wash & Protection
  • Full Detail
  • Paint Correction — Quote Required
  • Ceramic Coating — Quote Required
  • Touch-Up Paint — Quote Required

Interior Detail, Exterior Wash & Protection, and Full Detail show starting prices in Fieldd, while correction, ceramic coating, touch-up paint, severe-condition vehicles, and custom work require review before final pricing. You can always find current pricing by booking through Fieldd, submitting our Fieldd lead form, calling, or emailing us.

How does mobile detailing work?

We bring our equipment directly to your home, workplace, or an approved location. Zaukus Mobile Detailing supplies its own water and electric equipment, so you don't need to provide either — though letting us know if backup water or power is available helps us plan longer or weather-sensitive appointments. Before confirming your appointment, we review your selected service, vehicle condition, photos, location, weather, and any add-ons that may be needed.

Do I need to provide water or power?

No. We bring our own water and electric equipment to every appointment. During booking we may ask whether water or power is available as a backup option — this helps us plan, especially for longer services or weather-sensitive work. If safe, approved access is available, final pricing may reflect the reduced setup requirement when appropriate.

Are appointments automatically confirmed?

No. Submitting a booking request does not automatically confirm your appointment. We review vehicle size, condition, uploaded photos, selected service, location, weather, timing, add-ons, and whether the correct service was selected before confirming. If we need more information, we'll reach out before confirming.

Why do you ask for photos?

Photos let us assess your vehicle's condition before confirming your appointment — things like pet hair, stains, heavy dirt, sand or mud, bugs, tar, sap, water spots, scratches, paint condition, and access or parking concerns. This helps us recommend the right service, avoid surprises, and set accurate expectations before we arrive.

FAQ

Pricing & vehicle condition

Can pricing change after I book?

Yes. Starting prices shown in Fieldd are based on average vehicle condition. Pricing may increase for heavy pet hair, stains, sticky spills, sand, mud, odor, excessive buildup, heavy bugs, tar, sap, water spots, rough paint, contamination, or oversized vehicles that require extra time or product. We'll always discuss any extra work with you before adding charges.

FAQ

Paint correction, ceramic coating & touch-up paint

Do you offer ceramic coating?

Yes — by consultation and custom quote only, in three tiers: a 3-Year Ceramic Protection package, a 6-Year Premium Ceramic Package, and our flagship Advanced Ceramic Coating. Each is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds with your factory clear coat at the molecular level, filling microscopic pores to create a smooth, hydrophobic barrier. Final pricing depends on vehicle size, paint condition, preparation needed, coating tier, work location, weather, and your goals. Submit our online lead form or request a consultation through our Fieldd booking portal to get a custom quote.

How long does ceramic coating last?

It depends on the tier you choose and how well you care for the vehicle afterward. Our entry tier is rated for up to 3 years, our mid tier for up to 6 years, and our flagship tier has the potential to last the lifetime of the vehicle with proper care. That rating is a baseline, not a guarantee — a great coating can wear down quickly if it's washed in harsh automatic brush car washes or otherwise neglected, while diligent hand-washing, periodic decontamination, and indoor storage can significantly extend its life.

What's the difference between your ceramic coating tiers?

All three tiers deliver the same core ceramic protection: excellent gloss, hydrophobic performance, and self-cleaning slickness. What changes between tiers is the level of protection and durability we build in: our entry tier is designed for excellent gloss and hydrophobic performance, our mid tier adds tougher, more heat-resistant protection, and our flagship tier delivers the thickest, slickest, most durable finish we offer.

Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?

Yes. A ceramic coating locks in whatever is underneath it, so it can't be applied over swirls, scratches, or embedded contamination. Every coating package includes interior/exterior prep, decontamination, and paint correction as needed to leave the paint smooth and defect-free before the coating is applied.

How long does ceramic coating take to cure, and how do I care for it right after application?

Your vehicle is safe to drive in dry conditions the same day it leaves our care, but the coating keeps chemically hardening for the first 24 hours, so try to keep it out of rain during that window. Don't wash it with any soap or chemicals for the first 7-10 days — if bugs or bird droppings land on the paint, rinse them off with water only. A full maintenance wash is safe after that.

How do I maintain a ceramic coating long-term?

Hand-wash only, using the two-bucket method with grit guards and a high-quality microfiber wash mitt. Use a dedicated pH-neutral car shampoo with no added waxes, sealants, or gloss enhancers, since those can clog the coating's hydrophobic properties. Dry with a plush microfiber towel or a dedicated car dryer to minimize contact. Avoid automatic brush car washes entirely — the harsh brushes act like sandpaper and will scratch and degrade the coating.

What does ceramic coating protect against — and what doesn't it protect against?

Ceramic coating protects against UV rays, environmental contaminants like acid rain, bird droppings and tree sap, oxidation, and very minor wash marring, while adding intense gloss and hydrophobic water behavior. It is not a bulletproof shield — it will not stop rock chips, flying road debris, or deep scratches from keys or rings. Zaukus Mobile Detailing does not offer Paint Protection Film (PPF); ceramic coating is our solution for gloss and chemical protection, not impact protection.

Does ceramic coating affect insurance or accident repair?

Because professional ceramic coatings add tangible value and protection, many auto insurance companies will cover the cost of re-coating a repaired panel if your vehicle is ever in an accident. We can provide documentation of your coating service for insurance claims if needed.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Zaukus Mobile Detailing is a fully licensed business carrying $1,000,000 in liability insurance, so your vehicle is protected while it's in our care.

Do you offer paint correction?

Yes — by consultation and custom quote only. Using safe diminishing abrasives and precise dual-action machine polishing, correction can improve gloss, reduce swirls, improve clarity, and enhance the paint's appearance. Final pricing depends on vehicle size, paint condition, and the correction level needed. Paint correction does not fix deep scratches, rock chips, peeling clear coat, thin paint, body damage, rust, or defects beyond what can be safely polished out.

Do you offer touch-up paint?

Yes, by quote, for small paint chips and select minor paint defects. Touch-up paint can improve appearance, but it doesn't make damage invisible — it is not a substitute for body shop repair, repainting, panel refinishing, paint blending, dent repair, or rust repair. A non-refundable custom paint or material deposit may be required before custom paint is ordered.

FAQ

Scheduling, weather & cancellations

What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?

Booking through Fieldd reserves your appointment time, but Zaukus Mobile Detailing also reserves the right to reschedule or cancel an appointment when necessary, prioritizing rescheduling over cancelling and aiming to avoid both whenever possible. You may cancel or reschedule online up to 48 hours before your appointment. If that window has closed, please call or text us at (615) 339-9763 to discuss options. Same-day cancellations, no-shows, inaccessible vehicles, unsafe work locations, restricted locations, or failure to provide access may result in loss of your deposit. Weather-related rescheduling is handled separately from customer cancellations.

What happens if weather is bad?

As a mobile service, many of our appointments happen outdoors, and weather can affect safety, product performance, drying time, ceramic coating cure time, paint correction visibility, and final results. We may reschedule for rain, storms, lightning, high wind, extreme heat, freezing temperatures, heavy pollen, dust, unsafe ground conditions, wet work surfaces, or lack of suitable coverage. When we determine weather is unsuitable, we prioritize rescheduling to the next date that works for both of us.

FAQ

Maintenance subscriptions

Do you offer maintenance subscriptions?

Maintenance subscription details are being developed for approved recurring customers. These plans are designed to maintain vehicles that are already in good condition — first-time or heavily soiled vehicles may need a Full Detail first to become eligible. More information will be available soon.

Terms & Conditions

The terms that govern every appointment

By booking, requesting, approving, or receiving service from Zaukus Mobile Detailing, the customer agrees to these Terms of Service.

Booking Review

Booking requests are not automatically confirmed. All appointment requests are reviewed before confirmation. Zaukus Mobile Detailing may review the selected service, vehicle condition, uploaded photos, location, weather, timing, add-ons, and deposit requirements before confirming an appointment.

Zaukus Mobile Detailing may request more information, recommend a different service, adjust the quote, request a deposit, or suggest a different appointment time before confirming service.

Mobile Service Location

Zaukus Mobile Detailing is a mobile service. The customer is responsible for providing a safe, legal, and accessible location for service.

Service may be declined, paused, rescheduled, or cancelled if the location is unsafe, restricted, inaccessible, or unsuitable for mobile detailing.

Apartment complexes, HOA communities, workplaces, gated areas, parking garages, and restricted lots must allow mobile detailing before service can be performed.

Water and Electric

Zaukus Mobile Detailing provides its own water and electric equipment.

If safe water or electric access is available as a backup option, the customer may let Zaukus Mobile Detailing know during booking. Final pricing may reflect water or electric allowance when appropriate.

Vehicle Condition and Pricing

Starting prices shown in Fieldd are based on average vehicle condition. Final pricing may increase for excessive pet hair, heavy stains, sticky spills, sand, mud, odor, excessive bugs, tar, sap, water spots, rough paint, heavy contamination, oversized vehicles, lifted vehicles, work vehicles, neglected interiors or exteriors, or unexpected additional labor.

If extra work is needed, Zaukus Mobile Detailing will discuss it before adding charges.

Add-Ons and Extra Work

Some vehicles require more than the base service. Add-ons may be recommended for pet hair removal, odor treatment, paint decontamination, glass coating, or additional correction time.

Base services do not automatically include severe-condition work, paint correction, ceramic coating, touch-up paint, full restoration work, or specialty services unless specifically listed or quoted.

Ozone Odor Treatment Safety

Ozone odor treatment uses ozone gas, which is a severe respiratory irritant. The vehicle is returned to the customer immediately after the treatment cycle completes.

Before entering or driving the vehicle, all doors or windows must be left fully open for a minimum of one hour to ventilate the ozone. By booking an ozone odor treatment, the customer assumes full responsibility for ventilating the vehicle before use and waives any claim against Zaukus Mobile Detailing for health issues resulting from failure to do so.

Photos and Documentation

Customers may be asked to upload photos before service so Zaukus Mobile Detailing can review vehicle condition and service needs.

Zaukus Mobile Detailing may take before, during, and after photos for documentation, quality control, estimates, damage documentation, and marketing. If the customer does not want photos used for marketing, the customer should notify Zaukus Mobile Detailing in writing before service begins.

Personal Items

Customers should remove personal items, valuables, documents, electronics, child seats, loose belongings, firearms, medication, cash, and fragile items before service.

Zaukus Mobile Detailing is not responsible for unsecured personal items left inside the vehicle.

Service Expectations

Detailing improves cleanliness, appearance, gloss, protection, and ease of maintenance, but does not guarantee perfect or like-new results.

Permanent stains, deep scratches, rock chips, etching, oxidation, faded trim, worn leather, cracked plastic, damaged clear coat, peeling paint, old odors, prior damage, or heavy wear may remain.

Pre-Existing Damage and Cosmetic Outcomes

Detailing and paint correction (polishing) can reveal pre-existing defects, such as rock chips, scratches, clear coat failure, or prior improper repairs, that were not visible before service. Zaukus Mobile Detailing is not liable for pre-existing damage revealed during standard servicing.

Interior Service Limitations

Interior detailing may improve carpets, seats, plastics, leather, vinyl, glass, and trim. Stain and odor removal are not guaranteed.

Zaukus Mobile Detailing does not currently offer mold remediation or biohazard cleanup. If mold, bodily fluids, hazardous waste, pest infestation, or unsafe contamination is found, service may be declined or stopped.

Electronics and Battery Drain

Modern vehicles contain sensitive computer modules and sensors located under seats and in carpeted areas. Zaukus Mobile Detailing takes precautions during interior cleaning, but is not liable for electrical or sensor issues resulting from standard interior service. Vehicle doors may remain open for extended periods during service, which can further drain an already old or weak battery.

Exterior Service Limitations

Exterior services may improve cleanliness, gloss, and protection. Base exterior services do not include full paint correction, permanent water spot removal, oxidation removal, deep scratch removal, rock chip repair, collision or structural repairs, repainting, or ceramic coating unless specifically quoted.

Paint Correction

Paint correction services are quote-required.

Paint correction may reduce swirls, haze, oxidation, and certain surface defects, but it does not guarantee complete defect removal.

Paint correction does not fix deep scratches, scratches that catch a fingernail, rock chips, peeling clear coat, thin paint, failing paint, body damage, dents, rust, repaint defects, or defects beyond safe polishing.

Ceramic Coating

Ceramic coating services are quote-required.

Ceramic coatings can improve gloss, water behavior, protection, surface slickness, and ease of maintenance. Ceramic coatings are not scratch-proof, chip-proof, water-spot-proof, maintenance-free, or a replacement for washing or paint protection film.

Ceramic coating results and durability depend on paint preparation, vehicle storage, wash habits, climate, exposure, and customer aftercare.

Touch-Up Paint

Touch-up paint services are quote-required.

Touch-up paint may improve the appearance of small chips or minor defects, but it does not make damage invisible or guarantee a 100% factory match. Touch-up paint is not a substitute for body shop repair, paint blending, panel repainting, dent repair, rust repair, or professional refinishing.

A non-refundable custom paint or material deposit may be required before custom paint is ordered. Once paint or custom materials are ordered, that deposit is non-refundable. If the customer cancels after paint is ordered, or if the full bottle is not used, the customer may keep the remaining paint bottle when applicable.

CARFAX and Vehicle Records

Zaukus Mobile Detailing may collect vehicle information such as license plate, vehicle year, make, model, and related vehicle profile details.

If CARFAX reporting is enabled, certain eligible services or records may be reported through Fieldd/CARFAX or connected systems. The customer is responsible for entering accurate vehicle information.

Deposits

Some appointments may require a deposit after the request is reviewed.

Deposits may be required for standard details, large vehicles, heavily soiled vehicles, paint correction, ceramic coating, touch-up paint, custom material orders, high-demand appointment times, or quote-required services.

Deposits reserve appointment time and are applied toward the final balance unless otherwise stated.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Booking through Fieldd reserves your appointment time, but does not guarantee it will occur exactly as scheduled. Zaukus Mobile Detailing reserves the right to reschedule or cancel an appointment when necessary. We prioritize rescheduling over cancelling whenever possible, and we aim to avoid both.

Customers may cancel or reschedule online up to 48 hours before the appointment.

If the online cancellation or rescheduling window has closed, the customer must call or text Zaukus Mobile Detailing at (615) 339-9763.

Same-day cancellations, no-shows, inaccessible vehicles, locked vehicles, unsafe work locations, restricted service areas, or failure to provide required access may result in loss of deposit.

High-value services, including paint correction and ceramic coating, may have stricter deposit and rescheduling requirements because they reserve larger schedule blocks and require additional preparation.

Custom paint or material deposits are non-refundable once materials are ordered.

Weather Policy

Zaukus Mobile Detailing is a mobile service, and many services are performed outdoors. Weather can affect safety, product performance, drying time, ceramic coating curing, paint correction visibility, and final results.

Zaukus Mobile Detailing may reschedule due to rain, storms, lightning, high wind, extreme heat, freezing temperatures, heavy pollen, dust, unsafe ground conditions, wet work surfaces, lack of suitable coverage, or any condition that may affect service quality or safety.

Weather-related rescheduling is handled differently from customer cancellation. If Zaukus Mobile Detailing determines weather is unsuitable, the appointment will be prioritized for rescheduling to the next available date that works for both the customer and the business.

Arrival Windows and Service Times

Appointment times and service durations are estimates, not guarantees.

Service time may vary based on vehicle size, condition, add-ons, weather, setup needs, location access, customer requests, or unexpected contamination or damage.

Zaukus Mobile Detailing will communicate significant delays when possible.

Maintenance and Subscription Services

Maintenance or subscription-style details may be offered to approved recurring customers only.

Maintenance services are intended to maintain vehicles that are already in good condition. First-time vehicles or heavily soiled vehicles may require a full detail before becoming eligible for maintenance service.

Maintenance eligibility may be denied, paused, or cancelled if the vehicle condition no longer matches maintenance-level service.

Customer Responsibility

The customer is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate vehicle information
  • Selecting the correct vehicle size/category
  • Providing accurate location details
  • Disclosing severe vehicle conditions
  • Removing personal belongings
  • Ensuring legal permission for mobile service
  • Providing access to the vehicle
  • Reviewing service limitations
  • Following aftercare instructions

Failure to provide accurate information may result in revised pricing, rescheduling, or declined service.

Payment

Final payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Unpaid balances may delay or prevent future bookings.

Right to Refuse Service

Zaukus Mobile Detailing reserves the right to refuse, stop, reschedule, or cancel service due to unsafe conditions, hazardous vehicle condition, mold or biohazard concerns, restricted access, inaccurate booking information, severe weather, equipment limitations, inappropriate behavior, or services outside the business's scope.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the customer releases Zaukus Mobile Detailing from liability for ordinary negligence in the performance of services. Zaukus Mobile Detailing's maximum liability for any claim arising from service is limited to the total amount paid for the service rendered.

Updates to These Terms

Zaukus Mobile Detailing may update these Terms of Service at any time. The version posted on the website or provided through Fieldd at the time of booking will apply to that booking unless otherwise stated.
